The rooms were great and the hotel overall looked very elegant and nice. Unfortunately the biggest flaw of the Hotel are its thin Walls and noisy staff. Almost every night I had to get out of bed and walk to the front desk to ask the staff to be more quiet because we could hear their every word and loud laughter in our room. And hear me out, they didnt just talk to each other, it was more like partying. I have never remotely seen or experienced anything like this. It really ruined our stay since we were tired all the time for a lack of sleep.

A good hotel, the service was excellent. There are lots of dining options in the area. The service for breakfast buffet, with hot menu options was very good and the server was great! At check out, a lady from the front desk ran down the street in the rain to hail us a taxi, which is above and beyond what we could ask for. The room was a bit tight, but was clean and functioned. The view out the back of the hotel was not what we had hoped for, so ask for a view of the street.

I have been staying in Hotel Granados 83 for the last couple of years to teach at a nearby business school. The hotel is in the CBD and everywhere is walkable within 10-15 minutes. It is about €30 by taxi from Barcelona Airport (BCN). If you fly into BCN, don't waste money on a prepaid airport transfer - Uber and FreeNow both operate and there are heaps of city taxis just as cheap. The hotel is industrial chic, with bare brick internal walls and is a regular Tardis. The street frontage is narrow, but the restaurant is in the basement (-1) and there is a gym and pool on floor 7. It is really narrow but deep and tall. The rooms are compact but with almost everything you need - there is a minibar, large flatscreen TV, and hairdryer - but you'll have to call housekeeping to borrow an iron/ironing board and there are no tea/coffee making facilities. Presumably this reflects Spanish cultural resistance to the abomination of instant coffee and powdered creamer. The only minor gripe is that the narrow desk has a small leather stool, rather than a chair. Preparing a presentation on my laptop was a bit of a nightmare until I realised that there are two garden chairs on the balcony and pulled one inside. For around €150 a night in the spring (mid-March), breakfast is included, which is excellent. As I was working, I didn't really get my money's worth, but if you were sightseeing, breakfast could last you all day. Finally, like most European hotels these days, the staff are multilingual; and super friendly. They made me feel like a long-lost friend every time I came back into the lobby.

Very good location in the city centre of Barcelona. Hotel is close to main attractions - Sagrada Familia, Casa Batllo and La Pedrera. Very friendly and professional staff - always ready to help. Only area for improvement - room cleanliness.
